Possible Challenges towards the Applications of Nanotechnology in Water and Wastewater Treatment

In this module, you will learn about the possible challenges towards the applications of nanotechnology in water and wastewater treatme

As expected, the nanotechnology has both its pros and cons in every research field. This is the case for water and wastewater treatment. Apart from unknown adverse effects of nanostructures and nano-devices on the natural environment and life cycle, some challenges may arise from their usage. The production, performance, collection, recovery and performance of nanostructures at reuse are some of subjects that scientists are facing with. The cost considerations and scalability are other challenges. However, unique properties of nanostructures serve as driving forces to persuade researchers into further addressing the nanotechnology.
