There are several classes of nanostructured materials with different geometrical specifications, morphology, and dimensional ratio. These discrepancies may result in a wide variety of properties and potential applications. To date, numerous synthesis techniques are developed to fabricate these structures, some of which are suitable for the fabrication of a wide range of nanomaterials, but others are just capable to exclusively synthesize special nanomaterials. Some of these methods are simple and cost-effective, but some others are highly expensive and need complex instruments. The selection of synthesis methods depends on the type of materials, applications and sensitivity of final nanoproducts.
