On the sideline of Asia Nano Forum (ANF) meeting, an International MoU was signed over the holding of first INO in Tokyo on 15 February 2017. Representatives from Iran, Russia, South Korea, and Taiwan attended in this meeting and declared their readiness to participate in the forthcoming competition. In accordance with this MoU, the first INO will be held on 10 April 2018 in Tehran.
The primary stage of the first Nanotechnology Startup event ended its work with the introduction of seven top teams on July 22nd.
Final results of the first NANO STARTUP competition in Iran have been announced. Among the seven competing teams, Nanit, Pakab and Abino ranked first to third, respectively. In the final round of the competition, the teams had to present their nanotechnology-related plans on “water and wastewater treatment”. The goal of this round was to create an experience for the participants during their first steps towards launching a successful business. The winners will represent Iran in the 2018 International Nanotechnology Olympiad (INO) in Tehran.
The first International Nanotechnology Olympiad (INO) which aims at tackling global environmental challenges and empowering young nanotechnology startup teams, was held on April 10-16, 2018 in Tehran, Iran. The theme for this year’s event was water and environment. The venue of INO was Pardis Technology Park and during the closing ceremony, 4 winner teams received their prizes.
